A troop weekend at Luukki Youth Center is the major event of this Autumn. We are going to spend a memorable weekend exploring nature, practicing outdoor skills, playing games and having fun. Luukki is a perfect place for indoor and outdoor activities. At weekend you can show what new skills and things you have learned during the weekly meetings at den. During the weekend we hand out badges to those scouts who have been keen and put their effort to find out new things in Scouting.

Luukki is in Northern Espoo, about 25 min. from Olari-Tapiola. Address is Luukinranta 10. Transportation is by car pooling. The car pooling is arranged online more near the event.

This event is for everybody. Main event day is Saturday 31.10.

Friday night is for rovers, leaders and adults. We all help on Saturday and Sunday to arrange program, help in the kitchen or taking care of practicalities. We ask in the registration your interest of chores and participation time. You are welcome also only for Fri-Sat, Sat or Sat-Sun.

Main event starts on Saturday at 10:00 hrs and lasts till dinner time 19:00. All younger age groups are welcome to join Saturday program. We will serve lunch, afternoon snack and dinner during the day. The Saturday program is for Squirrels, Cubs and Adventurers. 

Trackers and explorers start their weekend at same time with others, but they stay night at Youth Center with leaders, adults and rovers. The event ends on Sunday at 14.00.

Adventurers can also stay night with us if they want spend a memorable weekend and participate evening program, go to sauna and have fun with trackers and explorers.

Participation fee includes the venue rent, catering, program supplies, new badges and other costs. 

Event fees:

• Sunday day event for squirrels cubs and adventurers is 20 €, sibling fee 15 €

• Saturday-Sunday for adventurers, trackers and explorers is 30 €, sibling fee 25 €

• Friday-Sunday for event leaders, other leaders and adults is 15 € and Saturday or Saturday-Sunday is 10 €

We invoice the participation fees before the event.

Timetable:

• Friday 30.10. at 19:00 we meet at Luukki, prepare program, have evening meal, warm up sauna and have relaxing evening together.

• Saturday 31.10 at 10:00 the event starts and ends to dinner at 18:00. Please bring your scout on time. We have lunch and afternoon snack during the day. For squirrels we have a space for day nap if needed.

• Saturday continues with evening program, sauna and snack.

• Sunday we have breakfast, a program set and lunch. Guardians can pick up their scouts on Sunday at 14:00.

Gear list:

• A sleeping mattress, a pillow and a sleeping bag (light version is enough), pyjamas and a bedtime toy

• A back bag or a large bag to carry all of your gear.

• A scout scarf

• Clothing suitable to the weather and nature. Also spare clothes. Remember water proof, warmth and outdoor use. Extra mittens or gloves.

• Clothes also for inside activities, wool socks or slippers

• Personal medicine. Advise the leaders if the scout needs supervising.

• A notebook and a pen

• A compass, a knife (keep it in a bag until you need it in program)

• A flash light or a head light

• A drinking bottle. Other cutlery etc. are at Luukki.

• A towel, a toothbrush etc. We have a possibility to have sauna.

Please leave the mobile phone home. Leaders have mobiles if we need to call to parents.
A little amount of goodies is allowed. No soft drinks.
