Who we are and what we do?
Wild Eagles ry (WE) is the only a English-speaking scout troop in Finland. We are in the middle of very diverse Southern Espoo and our members are mainly coming from the world outside. We have 29 nationalities and 85 members
Our scouting is based on values, educational goals, Youth Programme and Scout Method of Scouting Finland. The troop is an independent association and a member of Scouting Finland.
The basic of Scouting is our values: Scout Ideals and the Promise.
Our troop is committed to these values and although we are English-speaking, international and very diverse, we are a Finnish scout troop.
All parents, kids, teenagers and adults are members of the troop. Our NSO (National Scout Organization) is The Guides and Scouts of Finland aka Scouting Finland. All members have an annual membership fee which is invoiced in November for next year. The annual fee is about 90 €.
Everybody over 18y has to take the Safely Together – on line training. If you need, we can offer you other scout training internally or by NSO.

Membership process
If you have questions of the activities, weekly meeting days or you need general information of the troop or guiding and scouting, please send an email to us. We'll get back to you in a week.
Next step is to fill in the application in Kuksa. We will contact you in a week. This is not a formal membership decision yet. After you have met our contact person, visited activities and made up your mind to join in, we'll sign you in.
Age groups
After the application in Kuksa, we contact the guardian of the potential scouts (squirrels, cubs, adventurers, trackers and explorers), have a small discussion by email or mobile of our activities and policies and arrange a possibility to visit the meeting of right age group. After visit we confirm the membership, if you want to join.
Rovers and adults
Rovers and adults has the same procedure of filling in the application. After that you will get an email from us and we arrange a f2f-meeting with you. In the meeting you get more information of the troop, guiding and scouting in generally and our mandatory policies for scouts over 18 years. We also discuss of your interests of volunteer work in our troop. We have options from weekly activities to be a group leader in an age groupos just join in to the adult group.
If you want to have an active role in the troop, you will get a training and support to these tasks.
After you have made the decision to be a member, we file you in.
