Scout Promise ceremony on September 28th at 10:00 in Olari Church.
Scouts pledge a promise when they join the troop or move on to the next age group. We will participate together with other troops in the area in a pledge giving event in Olari Church.
The Scout Promise ceremony is made in connection with the mass. We know that Wild Eagles is very diverse scout troop based on both origins and beliefs, and a promise made in the church can feel challenging. We do not often participate in the pledge masses organized by the region, but we believe that diversity also includes knowing and accepting different customs and beliefs.
We welcome everyone to the event, which will be held in connection with the Sunday Mass of the Olari Parish. If participating in an event in the Evangelical Lutheran Church feels unfamiliar, we are organizing another pledge giving event on the troop's weekend trip in October.
Parents are welcome to join the event. Be on spot at Olari Church with your scout about 15 minutes before the start of the event and remember to make sure that the scout has a scout scarf with her/him.
If you have any questions, please contact the troop leader Timo Muttonen.
The Scout Promise
"I promise to do my best to live for the good of my country and the world, to develop in my spiritual beliefs and worldview and fulfil the ideals of the <age group> every day."
