New meeting place aka kolo

Wild Eagles has made a lease of a temporary meeting place in Western Tapiola (Jousenkaari) from the beginning of August. In the autumn meetings for cubs, adventurers, trackers, explorers and rovers will be at the new place. The squirrels will continue at Lillhemt, where also some of the outdoor meetings of other groups will also be held at separately announced times. Meetings start at Jousenkaari at week 34.

The meeting place situation of the troop has been very poor for the last couple of years. We haven't had our own venue, which is important for the cohesion of the troop. The space of the Lillhemt village house is small and does not meet our needs. The new meeting place gives us better conditions for organizing weekly activities and scout program.

We know that moving to Jousenkaari is a little inconvenient and challenging. We regret this, but from our point of view this must be done. The search for a new own place at the Olari-Suurpelto area has not been fruitful, and the price level of the premises are too high for us. We are still waiting for the City of Espoo's decisions regarding the Lillhemt village house. We have had a long-term project to get a part of the village house into our use. We believe that the city will be able to make the decisions and the renovation of the building will be completed within two years. During this time, we will be in Jousenkaari.

The new meeting place is 300 m from the Urheilupuisto metro station and 300 m from the Merituulentie bus stops. It is located on the ground floor of an apartment building and it is 40 m2 in size. It is ideally sized and can two groups at the same time. The address of the new place is Iltaruskontie 3 D 27, 02120 ESPOO. We will provide instructions on the schedules and locations of weekly meetings here on the website in August. We try to not change the weekdays of the groups.

When you are dropping your kid or picking the kid, please use the plot on the right hand in front of the small white industrial building. We have promised to the housing company not to block up the front of the meeting place.
Unfortunately there are no parking space near the meeting place. Nearest parking is 200 m from the venue.
