A short trip to the Sipoonkorpi national park on the east side of Helsinki. This is a relatively new national park close enough to the city to be reached by HSL public transport. We take the Knuters Trail (4 km) and
Bakunkärr Trail (2 km).
The goal is to explore the area, cook some food, and have fun. There will probably be several kilometers of walking, at most up to 6,0km for those who come by bus.
Meeting:
Sat 15th of Nov at
10:00 Itäkeskus M, H4308 by bus 841 or
11:00 Knutersintie 667 by car
Directions:
By bus 841 from Itäkeskus to Östersundom. Mudi will pick up those who come by bus to Östersundom and give a lift to Knuters.
By own car to Knutersintie 667 National Park parking.
Duration: probably 4-5 hours.
This is an easy event that anyone who can walk on a trail can join.
Bring with you:
Standard outdoor supplies for a hike on ready tracks and clothing as needed for the weather of the day (at least including 1L water and backup snacks)
Suitable clothes and a day back pack to walk up to 10 km
Cold picnic lunch, possibly with some stuff to share - in case we don't find a free fireplace
Simple food to be warmed by a fire or stove (for example sausage, Halloumi cheese) - in case we find a free fire place.
If you have a gas burner or stove, please take it with you.
